I’m so excited to share these books with you today! I have been recommended to read these books on my bookstagram for quite some time and over christmas break I seriously binged all 5 books within a week so yeah! #teamnosleep
This series is an indie published series that is available on kindle unlimited so I’m going to include just the blurb to book one and include all my feels with no major spoilers below!
Blurb:
A library girl with a secret. A dark and fiery prince. When he awakens her magic, there’s no going back.
The Solaris Empire is one conquest away from uniting the continent, and the rare elemental magic sleeping in seventeen-year-old library apprentice Vhalla Yarl could shift the tides of war.
Vhalla has always been taught to fear the Tower of Sorcerers, a mysterious magic society, and has been happy in her quiet world of books. But after she unknowingly saves the life of one of the most powerful sorcerers of them all–the Crown Prince Aldrik–she finds herself enticed into his world. Now she must decide her future: Embrace her sorcery and leave the life she’s known, or eradicate her magic and remain as she’s always been. And with powerful forces lurking in the shadows, Vhalla’s indecision could cost her more than she ever imagined.
Review:
So these books had me hooked from book one and they seriously just got better and better! This story is like avatar, but with a badass heroine who actually isn’t your typical head over heels in love fighting for that love. She cares for her people and wants her country safe! Air Awakens has a bit of a slower start for some, but it’s needed information! I promise book two through five are so intense and the twists and turns that evolve the magic with crystals and seeing how Aldrik and Vhalla grow was the best thing ever to read.
Now this series is a serious slow burn romance where you end up yelling at elise a lot for not doing what you want her to do. Ugh authors who do they think they are right?! I secretly love slow burn though even if it pains me 😉
It’s full of loveable side characters as well with a touch of LBGT representation, I won’t say who because I don’t wanna spoil the surprise, but it wasn’t forced at all which sometimes I feel happens when authors try to squeeze in into the storyline.
The most exciting part of this series which yes this series is completely finished so yay to no waiting and full on bingeing as I did, but she is releasing a spin-off series of a characters daughters in February so we get to go back to this amazing, magical world and I so hope to see some of the older characters and new ones as well!
